TJ Zizzo, driver of the PEAK Motor Oil Top Fuel Dragster, is looking for some hot performance this weekend. This race will mark Zizzo’s 8th appearance at the NHRA U.S. Nationals.

“It’s pretty easy to get pumped up when you’re talking about the U.S. Nationals,” said Zizzo. “Our team has been working around the clock since our last race in Norwalk. There isn’t much that remains the same with our engine combination since Norwalk; it’s practically a new car with updated performance parts. We had productive test runs in Joliet two weeks ago, and we’re looking forward to having these efforts rewarded.

The 2012 season marks the 58th anniversary for the NHRA U.S. Nationals, making it the longest running event in the NHRA Full Throttle series. “As for atmosphere, I love the Nationals – it’s a great race track, and the fans are always passionate about their motorsports. It’s a town synonymous with racing.”

In addition to taking part in the legendary race, Zizzo is pleased that he will have the opportunity to spend some time with the team from Susie’s Place – an Indiana nonprofit organization dedicated to providing professional support and pursuing the truth in the investigation of child abuse. Zizzo will have the organization’s logo proudly displayed on the side of his dragster.

"Susie's Place is so grateful to have the support of TJ Zizzo and his team,” said Susie’s Place Director Emily Perry. “What a wonderful way to show the community that children are a priority...even at the U.S. Nationals!  We will be cheering on Team Zizzo."

Susie’s Place uses a multi-disciplinary team approach to bring together all of the involved agencies and professionals to offer comprehensive services that include law enforcement, child protective services and the medical and mental-health community. Its facilities are located in Bloomington and Avon.

“I am glad I have the opportunity to work with Susie’s Place,” commented Zizzo. “Their team provides critical help for children that need professional and emotional assistance. We feel good when our team at Zizzo Racing can provide the needed visibility to support their efforts on such an important issue.”
